Supplemental Audits and Reviews
Workstation Audit
Keeping track of all the workstations on a network can be time consuming. End users may alter their equipment or load software without the permission of those responsible for the company’s information technology. This analysis and resulting report details the workstation inventory on the local area network. Information gathered and reported includes each workstation’s operating system version level, processor type, storage capacity (available and used), memory, network interface card, connection type, connection statistics and major application software information.
Contingency Review
As a strategic asset, your network infrastructure must be protected from the threats of the real world and you must have a plan in place to deal with potential failures. This audit covers, in detail, the issues related to protecting your information technology investment. The network anti-virus strategy is analyzed and the products associated with it are documented. Firewall installations are analyzed for weaknesses and recommendations reported. Backup strategies, equipment and software are reviewed. Finally, power protection is inventoried and tested, including battery backups and surge protection. In the final report, each of these areas is documented and specific recommendations are made to insure the level of protection you need and desire.
Physical Evaluation and Certification Audit
The physical network is often a patchwork of connections that have been installed at various stages of a company’s expansion. This can lead to problems with the integrity of these lines and connections. By testing each line, the actual physical connections of the network are analyzed and certified. A report is prepared covering the results of the testing and detailing any recommendations or concerns.
Broadband Access Study
The purpose of this study is to analyze your current connections to the Internet and/or Wide Area Networks and determine the most cost effective way of increasing the bandwidth. Increased bandwidth improves performance and can enable the use of the Internet or WAN to achieve new business objectives, such as e-commerce, voice over data, remote location access, website hosting, or simply improve web surfing and e-mail communications. Furthermore, this service identifies data communication integrity to ensure reliability and maximum uptime.
